At least Kid Icarus is back, and primed for its rightful place in the spotlight. Uprising is more fun than it has any right to be. Metroid's little brother finally gets to shine, and shine it does. |

I've heard so many bad things about Other M. And the thing that bugs me the most is the scene where she goes catatonic at seeing Ridley again.
Apparently her PTSD with Ridley is from this obscure Metroid manga that was never translated oversees. The manga was canon though. Go figure. |

That's what gets me. Sakamoto seriously thought people would get that? As if everyone read a shitty little manga from fifteen years ago?
Had he included an actual K2-L flashback and actually hired a decent writer instead of making the game his own little fanfiction, maybe the story wouldn't have been so face-fuckingly horrible. Because in all seriousness, the gameplay was pretty fun. Except that you were forced to sit through all of those painfully bad cutscenes. Ugh. |
