You know, Celestia has ALWAYS been pink. The outline color dictates the base color of the pony's coat, and Celestia's outline is a VERY pale pink. She's also pink on Equestria's flag, and in the "origin story" book.
Hasbro went way the fuck overboard though, that goes without saying. |

Both Celestia and Rarity are off-white. Celestia is shaded the palest of pinks, and Rarity the palest of blues. It really became apparent during their scene together at the start of "Sweet and Elite", when you could see that the two supposedly "white" ponies weren't the same color. |
