Anyone else trying to figure out if HASBRO is treating Rarity/Spike as a Real Ship or a Toy Ship? |

Neither, dude. By NOT addressing it, they're letting us as an audience fill in what we want to see, and I think I prefer it that way. |

A toy ship is when two young characters are shipped. A better description for Spike/Rarity would be a ship-tease.
They're allowed to share episodes and are written to create an impression they're more fond of each other compared to the other characters but nothing really serious happens. |

So far it is the only intentional ship-tease, and its has been around since the first episode as well. Much like Rainbow joining the Wonderbolts or the CMC getting their cutie marks, this is one of the things that will not be resolved until the very end, if even then. |
