^That was my intention but it seems they often get voted down and people put mean tags. I am personally not offended but the point of these is to spotlight users in a positive light. I wouldn't want people's own personal dislike of me or meta in general to lead to negative impressions towards the person being spotlighted. That kind of defeats the purpose, you know? |

Do it, but remember what you're doing it for. It's about people in the community that you feel need to be appreciated more for what they do. Do something that makes them feel worth something, even by carrying it into the comments section.

I do enjoy them but it's not about me really. I don't care what people say/think about me that much. I just don't want to spotlight someone, then it gets rated down or something, and that person feel bad.

I agree with Maroon here Prof, few people really care what an image's score is, it's really not that big of a deal. Besides, I think most people will disregard a negative score and most likely will focus on all the positive comments they're getting. |

Well, so long as nobody else is worried about it then I guess I'll just keep it up. I only mention it because the last one I did was for Psychopomf and he's a swell guy yet it got a -1 rating and people kept putting bullshit in the tags.
Not that he complained or anything. It just kind of made me worried because I don't want anyone to feel disliked on their special day. Of course, as it was said, I guess nobody is all that worried about it so I'll just keep it up. |
