Fluffy ponies are insanely cheap. Less than a dollar. This is often used to make the death of one less significant both emotionally and, to the characters, financially. Fluffy ponies can reproduce either by exploding or normally, but tend to kill their own babies. Males usually die from orgasm. Fluffy ponies also think of all humans as friends by default, and any human taking care of them as a parent. Amputation and safety rooms are considered a logical measure in fluffy pony stories to prevent fluffies getting themselves killed. |

I liked it back when amputating the fluffy pony was meant to be one weird guy's solution to the fluffy pony problem. The early stories focused on their stupidity, and extreme owner behaviour was rare and meant to shock. Now it's the norm, and rather dull as a result. |
