Foxtrot has always been great with analogies like these. They've done some pretty up-front cameos quite a few times, some of them even outright shocking.
Knowing the artist's very open tastes towards games, pop culture, anime and other cartoons and comic strips, I wouldn't be surprised if he watched and enjoyed FIM. |

I doubt that he watches MLP, though Amend does spend a lot of time on the internet, this strip most likely came about because of his son. which on of the tweets reads "just bought a brony shirt for my son, he is extremely happy" |
