For those to whose interest it may be relevant, 'The Herd' by Lighthawk is the first bonafide harem fic I've ever come across in this fandom. And sweet Molestia if it isn't shaping-up to be the finest example of one I've ever read, dare I say it, nonparleis.

Haha, yeah, I kind of had a mixed reaction to those chapters myself, but overall I really enjoyed Warming Up and had fun reading it.
And there hasn't been any fanart of the fic from what I've seen. Sorry. |

^ Please no man.. I read the fic, and while the first chapters were sweet, the rest was just crap. Bad story planning, bad characterization, lot of plot holes. The RD, Pinkie and Celestia's chapters were all fucked up. At least it got a pretty descent ending.
I'm reading a fic called Twilight's Treatment, its mostly a TwiSpike fic with humanized ponies, but one thing about that fic is that Spike seems to catch the eye of a lot girls. So yeah... |

-The Twilight part was romantic and cute -The Fluttershy part was kinda hot. -The AJ/Rarity was...straight from any porn movie script. Weird. -The RD part was...sad and depressive. -The Pinkie Pie part was SO DISTURBINGLY FUCKED UP But don't worry about the art man, I'm not gonna do it right away or go straight to the cloppy ones, anyway. @1213003 'The Herd' is probably an instant boner killer for anyone turned-off by furry/anthro.
Which is a real shame since so far it does look like it's becoming something special, and it's not all that hard to imagine everyone's a human (they've got <i>fingers</i> and call themselves 'people'). My only real beef so far is that Mac is only slightly less bland than he is in the show, which is something the author might have picked-up on, since it looks like Spike's getting involved in a BIG way... |
