I hope there will be a season 3 bingo, too. Sure some people take this a bit to serious and sometimes there's a lot of arguing about Zecora/ Big City/ New Pony Species/ Trollestia but it's still funny. |

Thoughts:

No. >A one-scene dialogue gag is not a body swap, nor at all a body swap episode. An episode would be where the body swap is explicit, not implied or hinted at, and is the main focus of the episode. So, no. >Trixie being a mention is not the same as her returning. I should think at the very least she'd need to be shown on-screen or voiced from off-screen for that to even be a consideration. No. >Zecora square, in my interpretation, would be more on the lines of one large bit of backstory a la Granny Smith in Family Appreciation Day, not a couple small things strewn about. Believe it or not, simply knowing her birthday is a small thing, and we already knew she made potions, too. No. >A new species of pony would have to be explicit. I see nothing to suggest that Luna's guards are anything other than pegasi, since... they're totally pegasi. We've have non-standard character designs before; that doesn't mean Snails and Alley Way are a separate species. Nor have I seen any other equines that would count as ponies. No. >I could understand an argument for the Trollestia square from It's About Time maybe if she was the only one to act indifferent about the sneaking around. She wasn't. Also note that as a winning square it's going to fall under harsher scrutiny than usual. I would consider something on the level of Bird in the Hoof or Best Night Ever to fill the square, and fully expect this in the season finale. You are more than welcome to discuss or debate any of these points. I've done my best to tolerate those arguing for these squares in the past, and thought I'd chime in with my thoughts since I hadn't seen anyone else explicate them. Please keep in mind however, that if we differ on a basic point of interpretation, it may be impossible to reconcile our views. |

I'd like to revise my statement. I'd think the Trixie Returns refers to an actual cameo, as opposed to a just a naming, due to the bingo consisting of actual appearances for all other instances. So I've un-checked Trixie. |
