Considering I frequent this site far more often than could possibly be construed as normal behavior, I'm not so sure that's accurate. |

Yep, everybody stopped watching Anime because of Ponies.... |
| Zancrow #1207860 3 months ago |
I only watch like half a dozen Animes at the moment, but whatever.
Also, no song in MLP beats God Knows : P |

Anime had it's moments, though.
there was that one where the guy tries to escape from the womens bathroom and there's gaurds with M-16's & rottweilers guarding the door! |

I'm still an Otaku. I've only been a Brony since November 2011. |

I must be the only guy I know to have never been big on anime. |

Ano Natsu de Matteru is pretty good |

What's wrong with liking both? I've been an anime fan for nearly a decade; I've only been a brony for one year.
I gladly watch both. This is because I am, first and foremost a fan of good cartoons, no matter their origin. Regardless, Haruhi is still smokin' hot in the bunny-girl outfit. |

I've been into anime for years before ponies, and I like both of them. However, I confess that for the last few months I've been more into tokusatsu than anime. |

I've always loved Anime and Cartoons and Kamen Rider kind of stuff for years, side by side. I watch pretty much everything. |

Oh lol!
I remember 10 or 15 years ago, when I was just a young adult, I was a hardcore weeaboo. A weeaboo without internet. The little internet I had, I saved any images with big eys and small mouths. I discovered hentai. I bought ultra expensive VHS and I copied even more. When I finally had my own computer and my own internet 6 years ago, I downloaded several anime to watch, and even more hentai! Any games made me happy if it had any anime in it. But now... Anime is not new anymore. Instead of something mysterious and magical, anime became just another medium, another style. I'm 35 now. I still download hentai, but I'm way more selective. The only animated series I download lately are Wakfu, MLP;FIM, and Transformers. Oh, and dat sentai Spiderman from 1978. The games I play? Bioware's and Oblivion the most. The few Japanese games I play because they are good, not because there's some anime in them. I outgrew my weeaboo phase. Now, if it's good, I'll watch/play it. If it happen to be in the anime style, so be it. Anyone else had a similar experience? |

FIM got me into watching cartoons series again, and I've been letting anime go.
Anime just isn't the same anymore. The stories are all alike, as are the characters personalities and designs, and the animation in most of them is very bad.It just sucks now... The last two animes I watched were Natsume Yuujinchou (been watching it for over a year) and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. But outside of those I don't really miss it... It'll take a batch of top-notch animes to make me come back. |

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. This is an anime that needs to be watched. Go watch them all now. |
| Montagraph #1208899 3 months ago |
I still watch and enjoy anime, and even track around 4-5 shows each season. However, NOTHING Japan produces can ever take away my love for my ponies. |
| Montagraph #1208906 3 months ago |
^and I also agree with what most people here are saying; anime is just losing it's luster. It's turning into the same redundant crap. |
| Anonymous #1211611 3 months ago |
I still have a warm side for animes. In fact the ponies have increased my fondness for animes and vice-versa. I especially love the crossover and I'm looking forward for at least a Japanese dub or adaption to MLP.
Animes like Naruto and Bleach are decent. But it is the moronic fandoms that boils my blood in so many ways that I couldn't describe, especially those damn Narutards. |

When anime became popular in the US they started importing in the best stuff that came out since the 1980s. Since then that pool has dried up and good new stuff that can cross the cultural boundary are few and far between. |

I still like anime and I like ponies. Thats when someone invented pony anime :D |
