I have to admit, Derpy fans get really annoying sometimes. They've got this elaborate mythology about her in their heads, and when the show disregards it they always try to rationalize and claim that what's in the show somehow does not count.
As a rule of thumb you should not get attached to fanon, since the show can throw it out at any moment. Fanon should be based around canon-- canon should not have to be explained away just to preserve someone's fanfic or anything like that, but Derpy fans are some of the worst when it comes to that. The whole Spakler / Dinky thing was ridiculous, and I think that was when I started to realize that Derpy fans were kind of annoying. |

A lot of 'canon' stuff simply does not get art, but that's just the artists' choice. (Which is a freedom you won't be able to take from them.) That doesn't mean another take wouldn't become even more popular if someone tried. |

Dinky's tag is Dinky_Hooves, so even there it's considered canon for some reason. Even if I draw pic of Dinky who is not Derpy's daughter, she will be tagged Dinky_Hooves. And no matter what, the only evidence about Derpy\Dinky is slightly similar mane color. For example Cloud Kicker have similar color scheme, but no one telling that she is Dinky's mother. |

@207 I don't have problems with Derpy or Derpy's fans. I have problems with people who think that their fanon is the best and just force them to other people. I called them "Derpyfags" because majority of them are Derpy's fans. May be the word wasn't correct, but I don't have alternatives.
