I don't know how to feel about this. I mean I don't hate Islamic people or anything, but I like to keep my ponies and my religion separate. But this ... Is actually pretty cute. I feel kinda conflicted. |

Ya know, I used to think attempts to make Fluttershy islamic was just a ridiculous case of political correctness.

Eh, a pony who is the Element of Kindness, attached to the only religion on earth that teaches deceit as a holy duty, and the murder of innocents as a sure path to paradise, seems a bit odd. |

If you feel conflicted, then just note that this tumblr is just going for a different concept that emphasizes Fluttershy's cuteness. It's not like it's shoving religion down your throat, and if you don't like that, eh, you can filter it. |

And God hears and knows all things.” When you mentioned "deceit as a holy duty" I can only assume you must have been talking about your own religion. |

Islam: people ripping out the peaceful side of thier religion Christianity: preachers that builds mansions on the donations for the poor. no religion is immune to the corruption of man.. though Buddism is resistant to it so far. |

There's truth here on both sides, as much as religion has become part of society and culture, it has also become a symbol of oppression and intolerance, there's a very fine line to be found and its becoming more and more polarized that if religion cannot accept it would ultimately cause its own downfall. I myself have no problems with religion, but i think that enforcing religion upon a young generation or any after without considering the child's view is a violation of individual right's. I'd say let them choose when they get older, sure traditions are fine, but let them grow some and then choose upon what they believe is a sure way of life or it'll only box them in. |
