Everytime I think of someone saying "Vector Sigma" I keep imagining Ichigo's face when he says that. But I like Tails version all the same.

Don't worry Takashi, some of us knew it was from the comics. And I'm also one of those that are actually enjoying seeing how this story plays out.
And as stupid as these Sonic hate comics are, I think 226 takes the cake. "Rainbow Dash can actually go at supersonic speeds. Sonic can't." How ignorant can you be? It's been shown many times (understatement of the year) that Sonic breaks the sound barrier without breaking a sweat. WAY back, when he was just starting, he was able to go twice the speed of sound. And his speed has done nothing but increase since. |

I don't remember. @Zancrow: Sara Freedom's from the OVA. She's some kinda Human with Cat ears and a tail that Robotik/Eggman wanted to marry and become the eve to his Adam after he wiped out humanity. Princess Elise is from the And apparently you don't know anything about Sonic since anyone who does knows who Maria is/was. She was Shadow's best friend (and possible love interest/sister figure) before he went into suspended animation for 50 years. She had an illness (which the comics labeled "NIDS") that Shadow, being the result of a experimentation project on Space Colony ARK by Robotnik's grandfather to create the "Ultimate life form" was designed to cure. The government was afraid he'd be used as a weapon against them, so they pulled the plug on the project and killed/captured all of the scientists. Maria saved Shadow by leading him to a capsule where he was sent to Earth/Mobius. In one of the most iconic (and heartbreaking) moments in the series' history, she was shot, and before pressing the button that let him escape, Maria made Shadow promise that he'd keep Earth and humanity safe despite everything bad that happened to them both. So after all that, it's rather understandable why he felt like destroying the world in SA2. Thankfully Amy reminded him of the promise he made her and he quickly set out to help Sonic and co. stop what he and Eggman started. |

I'm rather neutral to Sonic, I just enjoyed the one with Chao Garden, and SMBZ.

My headcanon is that although they'd actually be pretty much equal in speed, RD would have the advantage in that she can fly.
Pretty sure I've seen Sonic go at speeds that dragged cars into the air behind him, but when it comes to large gaps and stuff like that, or a vertical climb, he usually requires a ramp and/or a convenient set of springs/rails. RD on the other hand could fly past most of those obstacles no problem. Also leads to Sonic's use of the air/gravity boards in the Riders series; some of those tracks would be nigh-impossible on foot. Bah, overanalyzing fictional settings late at night. Anyways, yeah. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. |

Sonic, hmmmm. Well, Rainbow Dash is much faster than Classic Sonic on a straightaway, but once terrain physics come into play, spindashing, loop-jumping exploits, and other signature parkour moves will give him the momentum to keep up.
Modern Sonic is fast enough to catch up with Boost ability, and his parkour has improved to the point where he can walljump, or, quarter-pipe permitting, he can just RUN up the wall, stop the boost and jump, then boost in midair to gain massive distance. Rainbow Dash should best focus on using a downhill course/dive acceleration to maintain speed, especially if she gets room to build up for a Rainboom. If she can parkour-cancel midflight to catapault herself off the terrain, she might even be able to level or pull ahead of Sonic. It's difficult to gauge if her 16.5 wingpower is sufficient to beat Sonic's standing start if he begins running with his Boost, Peel-out, or spindash, at least on a straightaway, but she can certainly gain a flight advantage given a difficult enough racecourse. |
