@Anon667: I don't, but some of the deaths in the fluffy abuse fics are so impossible biologically that it's funny, or power of suggestion type stuff. |

I'm worried that one of the thoughts that came to me from this was "Why didn't he microwave the foals separately?". The slow death wasn't even horrible for her, because she had no idea what was going on; he might as well have just snapped their necks. |

A bigger problem is the implausibility that her reason would be strong enough to override her maternal instinct; especially when that instinct was already strong enough to overcome the deliberately engineered instinct to never hurt humans. The real grimdark version would be the human killing the babies one by one in a vain attempt to discipline the mother, and then either the mother finally "calming down" once there was nothing to protect or having her put down and getting another pony, getting independent confirmation that it was fixed this time and loving, cuddling and occasionally disciplining it as it lived to the ripe old age of two. |
