I just want to find the people who make these things, put them in a room filled with knives, and with only a single, three-foot-thick solid steel door, and tell them, over the PA system, that only one can leave, or the room will be filled with poison gas.
They must kill each other till only one is left standing, and then the door will open. When the survivor opens the door, shoot him with a harpoon gun, then drag his ass along a gravel road for about an hour, then if he's still alive, lock him back in the room and tell him or her they can't leave until they eat all the bodies. Then, if they survive, ask them if this shit is still funny. |

The economics on these stories strain suspension of disbelief (for a story about fluffy ponies, I know). I mean, how the fuck can they possibly make a profit? They're dying off too fast, their gestation period is too long, reproduction is too fraught. If it's not worth fifteen minutes of effort to retrieve one from a pile, how is it worth weeks or months of effort to raise them from birth?
The only way I can explain it all is the whole project is the farmer's sick game and he's independently wealthy enough to bankroll it. |
