Yeah... I'm going ahead and saying that I don't have a problem with hijab ponies, love and tolerance and such... but SB is right, shoehorning "diversity" into your picture without actually understanding the actual traits associated with said race/religion/etc, like at what age the hijab is traditionally worn, feels insincere or pandering.
And I'll admit that I personally find it weird that Rarity's family would be Muslim (or at least strict enough to merit the hijab), what with the importance she imparts on how her hair looks... |

Lol, is it just me or does Applebloom look worried that she's about to be stabbed or suicide bombed? I'm just making a silly observation. I don't actually have a problem with how Scootaloo or Sweetie Belle are being depicted here, and I truly think anyone who does is a mean spirited jerk. But seriously though, doesn't it look like that to anyone else? I mean just look at her face! xD |

The design are...weird. I mean, Sweetie and Rarity don't give me a ''muslim'' vibe (wasn't there jokes about them being jews some times ago?) mainly because well, Rarity is the one who is ALWAYS caring about how she looks and stuff and...well, it's just like the artist just said ''What the hell, diversity!'' and then that happened...i dunno, it's weird ^^'' |
