I've always seen Angel as an archtypical Poisonous Friend; dominating, often abusive, a strong but often negative influence on those he interacts with. He sometimes willingly pulls his act together or gets cowed into flying straight, but never for long. He holds the leash more often than not, and Fluttershy is ill equipped to change that in a substancial way, even with all her new her new self-assurance. |
