Better than the official pony comics, where they have like 3 different facial expressions.

^ It's most likely that the library is like the one where I live, all comic books are put in the kid's section, even the gore and/or profanity filled ones.

All we needed now was for Daring Don't to be drawn by pony Rob Liefeld.

The Linkara pony in the last panel made me lol.

Even if i don't agree with the green colour.
But when I think about it, there aren't many green ponies in Equestria ether. I just remember the green Carrot Top in the Trixi episode.

^ It kind of makes sense for Linkara pony to be green, he tends to have green shirts on under his coat and he has a green ranger outfit as well.

@552: Because that's so much less over-the-top than Daring do being spared Celestia's wrath by closing her eyes.

Or a 1,000 year old knight destined to guard the holy grail.

^Yes. I can easily diss him. He can't write, draw, or even come up with decent plot line to save his life. He's just as bad as the Irate Gamer... okay not AS bad, but very close to it.

^Think you can do better? Show me lowly foulmouthed anon. Create a webshow and we will see if you can do better.

Can't? Yeah didn't think so.

^Foulmouthed? Really? What I said wouldn't get people to bat an eye if a freaking "G" movie. Not to mention that the whole "Why don't YOU try better" argument is something that would get laughed out of an elementary school. It'd be like saying that the AVGN should make a video game and see if HE could do better, or telling Roger Ebert HE should make a slasher movie & see how HE could do better; it's just a foolish statement.

I've read Lightbringer & even after he got outside artists, it still sucked. Kudos to him for admitting it's garbage, but... he's starting it up again? Ooohh... His plotlines are also stock and bland and his narrow view of how superheroes should act is laughable (I refer to the aformentioned Lightbringer). He's also getting an ego which threatens to balloon into a size which could match John Byrne's galactian arrogance.

So sorry CronoM, I may not be able to make a review show or a lousy webcomic (freely admit my drawing skills are on par with Mr. MSPaint), but I'll not shy my opinion that Linkara is a hack JUST because people think he's God's gift to comic book nerds.

@CronoM and Anon

Gasp people have different opinions!

On the Internet!

*Faint*

But light bringer did blow, in my own opinion.

I like AT4W, but I wish the story lines were easier to follow.

^The problem isn't that the storylines are hard to follow, don't get me wrong. Hell, one of my favorite writers is Grant Morrison for goodness sake, I can handle a "little" complexity. It's that his stories are weak. REALLY freaking weak. JUST going by the AT4W stuff, he started out... ehh.. alright. By the time the Silent Hill/Magic Gun origins came around, his writing really became very mediocre. And when we found out the Entity's identiy, after all the build up & suspense, was *spoilers* a Lovecraftian version of Missingno., which was somehow "logic" bombed into destroying itself, it just descended into all new levels of lame, although cracks could be seen by the Vyce arc.

So to use words Mr. Lovhaug would use, "These stories suck!"

^ Like I said, he does self-insert stories for internet reviews. The arcs were quite easy to understand. If you think you can do better, show me.

Meh I like the show as a whole, but I only like the side stuff when it's joke sketches really. (Insano hijacking Neutro as an extension of the incompetence of the scientists in the comic for example) Thus far though he's very carefully kept the review parts consistent and not contaminated it with the side stuff, so I can't really complain.

I, and I think most people, watch it for the jokes at shitty comics expenses, tidbits of industry history and trivia, and just finding him watchable and a decent way to widdle away 20-30 minutes a week. The story stuff is clearly something he does mostly for his own amusement and is compartmentalized to the point it really has no effect on the actual show and can be skipped over with zero issue.

So the show and the story bits need to be consider separately IMO. So yeah for me anyway the stories get a meh, but the show proper I reasonably enjoyable. I also think many, MANY people underestimate the effort involved in putting out a video like that virtually without fail week after week. Many trolls use the "I could do this shit" argument and yet for some reason truly regular and reasonably well produced web series are extremely rare...
