Sweet merciful fuck i really think that this fandom's going to go fucking downhill from the next generation that takes our place. If we can't fix this whole OC and BC which is essentially OC considering all the shit people made up on the spot, i can't imagine this fandom lasting anything longer than a few more years.
Top that off with the fact that i'm glad that i'm not directly involved in this fanbase because of immature fucks who don't learn to 'blacklist' or ignore art/things that they don't like. Also how is it that on Youtube shit like this never occurs on any Past sins videos? |

but... that's a contradiction in terms. you say that people ought to ignore what they don't like, but you also say that if OCs don't stop the fandom is doomed. sounds to me like, if you accept both of those things, the conclusion is "the fandom is doomed and we oughtn't try to stop it". anyway I don't think OCs are going to be the end of the fandom or anything. it's not unusual, looking at other fandoms, and as long as you obey the rules of the setting there's not really anything awful about them in principle. |
