Clearly she want to illustrates the importance of RD. |

Specifically, how it makes things +20V cooler. |

Nope, this joke is beyond my understanding :( |

All I know is that this is a CCD (Charged Coupled Device), Imager. Think of the Digital Cameras in your VHS Cams or in more modern times your DSLR's or Cell Phone Camera's.
The +20V cooler thing probably was the joke. |

Ps RD could also mean Research & Development, and not just say Rainbow Dash. |

Nothing new, really. She's always had a chip on her shoulder. |

Well, I had to learn electronics if I wanted to keep my DIVX DVD player working well past the system death date. All I had to do was change a clock crystal to a lower frequency, and the tough part, replacing the battery while keeping the power to it. If the battery got disconnected, the decryption algorithm would disappear, I wouldn't see any of the DIVX movies. The SP Module uses plain RAM hooked to a lithium battery, not Flash memory, as part of the anti-tamper/theft security. I switched it to a skinny sealedrechargeable battery that feeds off of the local power. I wired a a parallel battery connector to make replacement easy, and a switch to short the clock crystal when not in use. |
