I was kinda surprised, that they didn't include Silent Hill 4, but otherwise I'm really looking forward to this collection... Is it unplayable? |

Probably wouldn't the collection since I already have 2 & 3. I may have got it if it wasn't such a mess (from what I've heard about the PS3 version, not sure if it applies to the xbox version too) and if it had SH4 which I don't have... yet. |

I got the HD collection and played it a while. On the 360 version the only real problems are slowdown after you kill bosses or unlock achievements and some lip-syncing issues. The PS3 version has slowdown and a few other more prominent problems.
I can't imagine Konami would just let these problems go. I suspect a patch for both eventually. |

@755 The HD collection is being released here at the 30th so I hope they fix those problems by then, especially since I don't have an xbox and I've heard the PS3 version is worse. |

Seconded, Tyrranux.
It doesn't help that the town's entire shtick is to basically feed off all of your inner demons and make them into actual monsters - meaning you're faced with horrors that both want to kill and basically serve as reminders of parts of your life that are awful. Silent Hill is the anti-Equestria. |

They need to remake all from the ground-up, software, models everything, rather than just hi-rez textures. Porting usually has bugs. Besides, it wouldn't her to have some improved AI for the creatures, even though the voice-acting will be delightfully choppy. (Cue Angela's ".......LOST?") |
