You know, since there's such a sharp contrast between how Spike looked all grown up in the show, I would like to think that his mood and emotions determine how he looks when he grows up. Maybe he'll be no bigger than Big Mac when he hit's puberty. I doubt it, though. |

I think you might be on to something. When he was a freshly hatched baby and thus more or less mindless, he grew to a large slow witted brutish looking dragon thanks to little Twilight's magic. It would be a pretty cool concept if dragons physical form a maturity depended on their personality. And would explain why Spike doesn't have any wings. |
