Because of a new law they want to release E-mails from politicians to the public.
It's about corruption, which is talked about a lot recently.

Personally I'm neutral towards Anonymous and their hacking because they can do some good, but don't drag MLP into it. Lord knows the flack we'll get now.

AnonAustria hacked some Austrian politician E-mails and want to publish it. Those E-mails consider the BIGGESt Scandal for the Austrian politicians. (Sorry for my bad English) FTN: Rainbow Dash is AnonAustrias Mascot

Every non politician usually supports them, as they are one of few activists that do something.

@Appledash, Vaidelot & MidnightLance:
The Text is german because Germany and Austria share the same language (and also WW2 History)

/facepalm

Protip: If it uses the same alphabet as English, it's not Russian.

The article is about telecommunications data retention. Basically, from April 1st onwards your ISP will be forced to record and save everything you do on the internet. Every single porn site you visit will be recorded and can be accessed by the police if they suspect you of jerking off more than 5 times a day.

So Austrians can look forward to a humonguous breach of privacy and can kiss the presumption of innocence good bye. Every Austrian citizen is now under general suspicion just for using the internet.

Oh and as a result AnonAustria wants to leak a few E-Mails from high-ranking politicians, that's the gist of it. No references to ponies are outside of the picture.
