Certainly a lot more effort than a lot of the other fluffy pony greentexts. And its not just senseless death it actually fits into the story rather well; hell even the fit of rage where he chucks one of them at a wall is understandable given the situation.
Although I question why he didn't kill and eat the one with the broken legs to put it out of its misery. |

This is a rewrite of the original "Shipwrecked" story to focus on abuse, with the human abusing the ponies and a lot more narrative detail going into their pain and suffering - and all the pissing and shitting is new and kind of creepy-fetishistic.
The original story was about a man's declining humanity and slow transformation into a monster, driven on by the horror of the innocent-minded fluffy ponies and his own desperation. This is just glorying in an elaborate and drawn-out infliction of pain. |
