This is like The Lord of Fluffy Pones |

I'm glad that the uploader left out the part where the crew is looking for some worthless fluffy ponies. Never made any sense. |

Sadly, Fluffy Ponies are so dense, it probably would have forgotten about your past deeds rather quickly. Meaning its death was pointless.
Oh well, live and learn. ..............Well you live, anyway. |

@1175467
Indeed, this is a much better ending. |

Nevermind the only reason they even knew where the island WAS was because of the fluffy pony who ran into the ocean. |

Why would they only know that the survivor would be on that island because of a fluffy pony?
Coastal guards don't need to rely on some imaginary fantasy creature to look for shipwrecked people. |

@475 and 467
While I like the story, editing out that part creates a problem. The problem being if that the Fluffy Ponies have no value there was no reason for the guy to kill the last fluffy Pony. Why would the rescuers care if you killed a bunch of worthless Fluffy Ponies? Still, this a very good story nonetheless. |

@1175494
Indeed, that's a fact. The original ending only spoils the whole reading, it's better this way. |

@Saint_Braeburn The survivor didn't want to be associated with people that like fluffy ponies. After all, the stupid fluffy pony was already shown to be completely oblivious, and it might have shouted that it loves its 'daddy' and point at the survivor. He'd become a laughing stock. |

The ending where the one survivor rats out the pony murderer isn't meant to fit in with the whole "nobody gives a shit about fluffy ponies" thing, it's supposed to try and enhance the feeling that what the main character was doing on the island was horrific. If fluffy ponies are just garbage, then who cares that he killed and ate them? Why did the character go through an arc of mounting guilt and dwindling humanity?
Getting caught in the end validates the paranoia and misery of the protagonist over the story rather than turning it into a punchline. There were other ways to do that too, I guess - maybe have the crew laugh off what he did but end on the protagonist lying awake at night, hearing the laughter of the fluffy ponies just outside the cave, haunting him. Point is that's what they were trying to achieve. The other edit does a better joby by cutting it off right where the protagonist is weighing up whether he kills the last fluffy pony to survive or not, that at least helps keep the focus on the suffering. |

You really go around searching for old fluffy pony abuse stuff?
Good job. Now we can find them easier thanks to you. |
