Well I by this definition it's not...
But all I can say is that anthro is a fetish and only a fetish. they got into it because they thought the furry was hot. While with us bronies we never had sexual thoughts when we first watched my little pony. It developed with The character's personalitys it what made us clop. If there's no personality to latch on to then there's no connection for the person clopping to the thing they're doing it towards. Personally I don't really find any OC or background character hot enough to clop to unless I know a lot about them, same with literally any show/game/etc. |

@CottonTales Perhaps it's because some have come to accept them as they are regardless of appearance? The way I come to terms with it is that if you love someone, it would be for who they are; not what they look like. Let's say you were married to someone you truly loved; if their gender changed, would you divorce them ASAP? Everything about them would stay intact other than their gender. Can you really say you'll leave them without a doubt in your mind? There have been some good humanizations of the mane six, but those who fap to them as ponies have probably come to accept them as such. Sure there's some who were actually into that before getting into the fandom, but those who never were, probably see them sexually now because that's the way they were introduced and over time, have come to accept that. They won't just like the form, but wonder how they'll act in a sexual situation keeping their personality in mind. Like being gentle with Fluttershy, showing Twilight the ropes, getting wild with Pinkie, and such. |

good points and I do understand them. like I said before there are those who do honestly like their personalities and go with what Poptartpoole was getting at. But there are those who just like the form which from what I've read and seen may (I emphasize may) outnumber those who like a combination of the two or just personality itself. Example some (read a lot of) clopfics and some explicit pictures portray them in a way that is either immensely stretching character or out of character entirely and people still clop to it. Basically I'm just saying sexual attraction =/= romantic attraction for most people |
