I don't think it's possible to tame a pony, so it really boils down to whichever pony would most willingly play the role of pet.
Which pony would I most want to bring back to the human world? None, the human world sucks and would corrupt all of them. Which pony would I most want to live and coexist with? I think Fluttershy would be the least offended by me, but I think I'd get in the way of her caring for the critters and such. Twilight would probably be fascinated by me, but she'd also want to experiment on me. If humans are any kind of strong compared to ponies, I might be able to earn my keep at Sweet Apple Acres. |

I take "pet" to mean non-Human companion that doesn't engage in the same activities as Humans. Most of the cast would be more friends than pets to me, so I'd go with Derpy. Constant source of fun and good cheer. |

Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, or Lyra. Basically, Dash would be fun without requiring constant attention because she'd sleep a lot, but then be ready to play when I got home. Twilight is able to amuse herself when I'm not around, and I have lots of books she hasn't read yet. She'd also be more interesting to talk with. Both of them would be very eager to learn new tricks all the time. Lyra would enjoy being petted (with my hands!!!) all the time. Plus, they're the three cutest.
Maybe Rarity, she'd be expensive but relatively easy to keep happy and healthy. Pinkie Pie and Derpy would be too destructive, but if they were outdoor pets maybe. Pinkie Pie and Rarity are canonically housebroken too. The others (except maybe Derpy) very likely are, but it's not yet canon. |
