I am going to make an argument against Pinkie Pie as the Bard idea. Let's forget for a second that Bards are only ever male.
It is true, Bards have been given the basic description of'the wild card', which is why so many people peg Pinkie Pie as a Bard and I too saw that as valid, neigh, good reason. What people don't consider is the full description of Bards: "one who allows their aspect to be destroyed, or invites destruction through aspect" Now, does THAT sound like pinkie pie to you? People also do it because of the parallels between her and Gamzee, the Band or Rage. Also superficially valid, especially since, on a personal note, Gamzee is one of my favourite trolls. But Gamzee's natural, 'sober' state is the only time he fully embraces his 'destruction through rage' as opposed to his 'destruction of rage'. And, of course, we can reinsert the coffin nail of the whole 'Bards are only ever male' thing. I personally think 'Seer of Space' would be far more fitting. Who else would be able to see all the loopholes in existance like Pinkie Pie does? Last of all, sorry about the essay. I understand if you tl;dr. |
