At least you're honest. DA and that it's a fucking nightmare to even get someone to say anything, let alone anything close to criticism.

I've been trying to draw anthro and fanart, but I outright suck at non-realistic people and stuff. Any helpful tips people? Seriously I don't care if it's extremely negative, if I can't handle a negative comment about anything I do then how am I supposed to actually draw anything decent?

bravo fodder you with that mentality you gonna go far.

okay, her head is off, you have "right structure" but proportion is off.

fix head and her right arm (so viewr's left) then it should be alright.

The upper part of her body needs a lot of work.

You need some practice drawing humans and ponies before you can launch into combining the two. Sketch a little each day and you will see improvements in time. Don't be afraid to google up some tutorials like this-- http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/howtodraw/tutorials.html

*begins jotting down notes*
Up until only I haven't drawn anything related to the show and before that I barely drew any anthro before so I get what you all are saying, I need to get them both down before I can merge the two.

Even while drawing I knew I was making huge mistakes, so yeah I totally botched it on this.

I always ask for criticism from people cause I have one of my old drawings from a couple years ago that if you stare at it for too long you will go blind and underneath it I put, "This is why you want criticism, so you don't make shit like this anymore".

looks like you may have made the head that small to fit it into the picture. Make sure you sketch out and frame your drawing before you begin any kind of detail work. Don't ever try to cram anything into the panel if you can avoid it.

^ Yep, never cram. Also, this honestly doesn't look like a woman's body; it looks like a burly guy with a gland problem. The arms are very thick, almost as thick as the thighs, and the waist has almost no taper to it. This might be "realistic" for some "average" women, but art is sometimes less about realism and more about suggestion. Sometimes things have to be "wrong" to look "right."

To be brutally honest, this is a complete do-over; I don't mean give up, I mean just scrap this and try over again. I see what you were going for, but you haven't reached it just yet.

I just want to thank you guys, I've taken your advice. Right now I'm doing a ton of sketches and have found out that the reason why the arms are distorted is because I've had a habit of distorting arms in funky positions and ways that don't make sense that way I didn't need to draw hands. Also the head I screwed up cause I have barely gotten any practice in.

These mistakes I've been doing are stuff on the very basic level that I just need to get some practice in on to improve.

So yeah thanks for making me realize what I've been doing wrong.
