Yes, I know that many of his comments were removed in the past hours, but in the meanwhile...
For those who wonder, the Ponibooru Board Helper is an userscript I'm developing to improve Ponibooru's user experience. I even like the horrible racist anons more than I like Takashi. He's my least favorite person on this entire site and that's saying something.
I've never been the type of person who likes to give into hate or cruelty but he's certainly a test for me. I have to work very hard not to completely hate him and contain myself. That being said, racism is also very low and an unfortunate occurrence. |

I mean that thought you're very awesome for doing this, I understand that it will only be a comment filter for those who have installed it and you won't be able to change how the site works for the casual user. So it won't be able to filter comments that come in in response to a filtered comment and it will not improve overall Ponibooru experience unless we all use and install it and make everyone else do the same.
I just think that Ponibooru itself should address the problems is all. I have little problem ignoring comments, I am more worried about what kind of image it gives about us when a great part of the images and comments on the site is spam. A personal filter does not solve that. |

You have a point, Vree. The main effort against spamming, flooding and incorrect, harsh or even illegal behaviour must be done server-side.
That being said, many boards and almost every forum allow to set up a personal filter to fine tune everyone's user experience according to his/her tastes and sensitivity. They all have the same issues you've mentioned, but users are using them nonetheless. I'm just providing some basic tools to do something similar on Ponibooru, which actually already has personal filters, but they only work on image lists. |
