lol brony reactions in a nutshell xD oh and Nakama means friend btw |

hn nakama is a stronger form of friendship, normal casual friendship is ... er ... tomodachi if I recall correctly.
Nakama means you're super best friends who will never let each other down and will do everything in his power to help you ... and stuff ... It's kind of an important concept in most anime, especially shonen. Just saying ...feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. |

Dionysus, i know, i was just giving a basic translation so people would have a clue.... |

And I'm just expanding :D
And to expand a bit further: The concept of nakama often includes companionships on journeys or quests, so Luffy is basicly asking Pinkie to be the newest member to their crew. |

"Nakama" actually only means something like comrade, colleague, partner etc., just someone you do something together with. It has no deeper meaning. The "friends closer than family" meaning was imported into English solely because of One Piece, where the characters do use it with that meaning, but that subtext does not exist for the original word in Japanese. |

^A Japanese word that weeaboos have fetishized by ignoring its actual meaning, yes. |
