Well, Shining Armor is Twilight's brother, which threw people for a loop, especially the artists that prefer a dark-skinned Twilight.
Personally, I'm thinking of him as a British knight of Indian descent. |

@kaoskirin Well they share a similar cutie mark and Shining Armor shares the colours of his parents a bit...
But it was never really established that siblings had to look alike. I mean, look at Pinkie Pie and her sisters. |
