I heard that you can only get better endings by raising your war readiness by playing multiplayer.
Which is convoluted as hell, to be honest. |

more or less to get the "best" you'll need over 5000 but the max is about 7200 which is cut in half if you don't play multiplayer but since there is only three ends its pointless |

There technically are 16 different endings, but as I said "technically". They are broken up into two sets of 8, whether you captured ir destroyed the collector base at the end of two determines which set of eight you get, and then the lower your readiness rating the fewer "options" that you have open to you.
On a positive note, according to some websites the first DLC is slated to be available in April. Its' title? "The Truth". While this may in fact just be an EPIC troll, there are screenshots of enhanced multiplayer content. But don't take my word for it, just google "Mass Effect 3 DLC" and make your own judgements. |

There are three endings. Blue ending. Red ending. And green ending. And they are exactly the same, only with different color of a huge explosion. If you spendt a bajilion hours in multiplayer, you may also get 4 seconds cutscene of shepard breathing, and/or burning city may be replaced by identical not-burning city. |

Like I said, "technically" very technically. Below 4000 galactic readiness and anderson will always die, above that and you have a better chance of saving him. Below about 1200 and you don't even get access to the synthesis ending. I am not disputing that all endings are just slightly different versions of three endings, I am just saying there are "technically" sixteen endings. |

Being fair, now they have said that, due to mass fan reaction, they're giving a free DLc that will make the endings longer and more in depth. |
