In my headcanon, she's a descendant of Jewish Eastern European immigrants.
She strikes me as the type of person who would the Torah and learned Hebrew not because she was obligated to prepare for her Bat Mitzvah, but because it was her idea of fun. Also, her hair is dark, straight, and glossy, if that's any hint at an ethnicity. |

@Vree Well, I mean, (and I'm talking mostly just about Megasweet's Twilight) the bone structure of her face is clearly not black. Different nationalities, in addition to skin tones, also have differences in things like cheek bones, noses and chins.
MS's is either Caucasian/Asiatic, but sometimes with dark skin, because artistic license. |

This is mainly supposed to be a thing explaining whatthe "ambiguously brown" trope is, and how it is actually quite common in animation. |

@moku5 It's not necessarily about people who wouldn't like it if Twilight were black, but people who find that certain parts of Twilight's character (like voice, being a pony and not a zebra, or her stay at home tendencies if Twilight is supposed to be "tan" and not black in the image) that don't mesh with a Twilight that isn't white. |

Speaking as a person of Jamaican descent, I don't mind the mocha skinned human twilight fan art, it caught on with other fan artists and they enjoy coloring it that way. Hell, I'd I was drawing the ponies in human form, I would still use an anthro-style as Oda does Chopper in his human form (same color brown as his reindeer form and his unique blue nose). I have seen Twilight drawn with European features, Asian features and with dark skin. Frankly, people should just deal with it and accept artists' interpetations and rendition of what type of human which pony would be... Honestly, questioning why which pony should what ethnic background or skin color is the height of ignorance... SMH... |

I dislike anything not colored by the artist that drew it. Megasweet does not color most of his work, just look at his deviantart profile for proof. When he does color twi, she is white. |
