That makes more sense than mistaking it for German.
Excluding characters present in all three (Greek, Latin, Cyrillic), the Latin alphabet shares few characters with Cyrillic. The Greek alphabet, from which both others derived, shares about one third of its characters with the Cyrillic script. So Cyrillic and Greek script look more alike than Cyrillic and Latin.  |
