I still say Celestia trolled Twilight in the previous episode (Just trotting through the most-secured section of the libary and just greet Twilight and mention her new hairstyle -> trolling royal level)
And in "A Friend in Deed" we learned when Zecora's birthday is. |

I mean "A Friend in Deed" first aired February 18th, and Pinkie said "happy day-after-birthday" to her, that means Zecora's birthday is the 17th. |

Ya, we didn't mark off flashback until "Family Appreciation Day" even though clips form older episode can count as flashbacks, which they did in "The Return of Harmony Part 2" but that was really made as part of season one as well. |

*sigh* We don't know if Zecora' birthday is the 17th February. Sure the first air date was the 18th but remember that "Lesson Zero" happened on a Tuesday, "Baby Cakes" had a one-month time skip and "It's About Time" took place during three days.
So the air date isn’t the actual day an episode takes place. |

Zecora's birthday is the day before Cheerilee's, she in charge of explaining Nightmare Night, and she knows more about dragons than pony academia. How does that not count as "We find out more about Zecora"? |

I think an actual revelation was meant - her past, her family, another zebra etc. A birthday date while interesting trivia for the nitpickers is a bit nonrevelant to the character. |

^ That's fine but there is also the matter of the fact that "Rainbow Dash's little secret" is her liking books but how can that count when even she didn't know before reading Daring Do.
The way I see it is if that can count, when it was meant to be something she kept for a long time, then so can a birthday date. |
