Then we've got the Doc and Meadow Song so aren't just using the same template, they more or less have the same expression. They did bother to focus Tootsie Flute and Dinky's eyes differently, though they are the same template as well. |

The animators have never acknowledged the Dinky/Derpy fanon, so why would they start now?
Oh, and there have been literally HUNDREDS of recolored BG pony clones who look just like Derpy throughout the course of the show. They all come from the same "generic Pegasus" model. Even Derpy herself is technically a recolor. Her colors and Cutie Mark were generated at random from a database. |

Um. Are you paying attention? They were paired up QUITE a few times, hence the 'fanon' picking it up. This actually sounds plausible and it'd be sad if it's true. That said, hopefully we can move on and maybe they'll retry Derpy again if they're feeling brave. |

@I_Like_Your_Mane Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but the fans are the only ones that have paired Derpy and Dinky up so often, the animators have the two in only one scene and Derpy at the time was the same age as Dinky, so the "fanon" wasn't picking anything up. And what do you mean by "this sounds plausible?" |

It IS a bit odd that there's a Derpy recolor right next to three bg ponies that Derpy is often associated with in fanon, but it could just be a coincidence. It's also possible that it was started by one animator as a nod to us and another animator unfamiliar with fanon finished it (I'm not really familiar with the animation process, so I'm not sure how plausible this is, though). |

@#9690 Not really, seeing as how she didn't show up in some episodes before Last Round Up and the Derpy Drama, most likely the animators didn't feel like it was necessary to put her in there.
@#9723 I don't think so, seeing as their still both background character, which means they usually only there to take up space, and it's only recently that Derpy got the no clone treatment. @WatermelonRat I'm sure it's just coincidence and the fandom's paranoia. I highly doubt that they could(can) edit her out this fast and miss her twice in twice in Putting Your Hoof Down. |

@9999 In IAT Derpy/Raindrops was basically just standing there, so it may have been a simpler edit than in PYHD, where she was walking around and doing a little more. Also, the muffin bag would've been a bit of a givaway if they did a rush recolor. Also also, the extra week. |

@#0064 Not really, remember Derpy appear twice in PYHD and second time was only her head for like a second, it couldn't have taken much time "fix" that or even recolor the top of the buckle. But only now, does it occur to me that you're probably just a troll trying to stir up the fandom's paranoia. |
