Honestly, I think Care Bears always had the CHANCE to be good- like FIM good, but to tell you the truth, they usually fell short...
I mean, they had good scary villians, but they didn't reach their potential ALL the time. Professor Cold Heart was scary in his FIRST appearance, but shortly afterwards, he fell into "bland villain" mode and then got beaten for good. No Heart was good, with his shapeshifting and shadows, but since the bears were pretty much his kryptonite, he was reduced to using people as the middlemen to get to the bears. Grizzle, well, he's kind of like Rita from Power Rangers- doesn't really do anything himself, just makes a threat and ships it out to ruin everyones day. I've always been somewhat of a closet Care Bears fan. |
