They let her put up posters at the orphanage?
Well, maybe they make allowances for kids who've been there for a long time. |

I would Really love this to eventually be cannon. We know nothing of Scoots, and I think Rainbow would be an awesome mentor. She may be off putting now, but you'd be surprised what a little filly will do to ya. |

I agree, the story of Scootaloo not having parents and either being in an orphanage or living on the street fending for her self, but being too proud/stubborn to reveal it to her friends has so much potential, and a lot of in depth story could come from it.
Sadly I am sure this will never happen, as cool as everyone involved in the series is they will likely just have a lame ass scene with parents for Scoots that nobody will like and will fell contrived at best. |

I do like the thought of orphan Scootaloo
But I also equally like the idea of single parent house Scootaloo. Maybe even their parent being an earth pony. Hence her not getting flying lessons from them at all and not living at Cloudsdale. Tough little girl who had to toughen up because she'd be out on her own or she had no one around to help her most of the time. Just wanna give her a hug. |

The amusement of adding sad to candy ponies aside, having Scootaloo look up to Rainbow Dash as a mother figure is actually a neat twist on the old hero-worshiping sidekick idea. |
