The animators on this show re-use objects they've already made. Ponies are made up of various bits and pieces, from hairstyle to body color. You'll see similar ponies quite a bit in the background but they have gotten better at making the crowd scenes more varied. They probably do the same with Dragons to save time on animation. Stop nitpicking. |

At least they've varied the body styles. The S1 dragons looked like palette swaps. |
