There is a difference between wanting to see a gruesome situation and wanting to see someone dead/hurt.
Humans have a natural attraction to taboo stuff, that includes gory situation. But when you see a horror movie that has people dying in it, you see the movie because of the juicy stuff, not because you want "x person to die". |

Schadenfreude is when something is genuinely funny. If a guy is trapped under a boulder and saws off the wrong leg, to laugh at it would be Schandefreude. A holocaust joke would be Schadenfreude.
Giving a Fluffy Pone heroine and then making it saw off it's own leg isn't Schadenfreude. Fluffabuse is made for the shock value, mostly to give people a sense of Adult Horror in that something they love can easily die because of its own ignorance. TL;DR Fluffabuse itself, just like over-the-top Scootabuse(There is some funny stuff out there, Gavalanche), was never meant to be funny, it was meant to hurt people and laugh at their reactions. |

It's like if I were to post an image explaining furry artwork and why people enjoy it, some people don't want to know why you enjoy it or give a shit why they should, so they filter it out. If the uploader had any common fucking sense, they would have thought, "Hm, some people will never like furry artwork, I should put the tag, 'furry' in here so people who dislike it so much that they put it in their tags don't have to be subjected to it" You come along and think "Hm, people don't seem to enjoy fluffy ponies being abused or dieing, i'll just upload a picture where half the image is of a fluffy pony with a knife though it's skull and try to explain why people enjoy it and that the people who don't enjoy it should put it in their filters. But fuck actually tagging the picture properly so that the people who do have such tags won't have to see this shit." |

I didn't at first, but some of the ones that have substance, both abuse or love fics, I can enjoy whatever people have to make of these things. The ones that say they're abominations of man are the ones that make me feel less sorry for them, despite not really deserving what's in store for them. |

whoever compared fluffy ponies to lemmings is more right than he thinks. You know, the lemmings DON'T jump to their deaths like morons, it's a false rumor started by a movie director who wanted to make a shock documentary about the lemming ending their lives in the sea... only he found out that the little critters only fell off a cliff if they skirted too close during a migration; so he built a sort of "turntable of doom", a spinning machine that TOSSED the lemmings in the sea. Yep, mr. Director had about a hundred little rodent shot to sea by an out-of-camera machine "for the sake of the show". So, the fluffy ponies are like the lemmings: the lemmings were thrust to sea to make a shock movie, the fluffy ponies are turned into victims for the sake of some fella that wants to have some sick yuks. Oh, and the "fluffies are abominations of science" thing? Guess what, it was told because that way people wouldn't feel as bad when they die in the story. Originally they were cute and child-like, but not one point short of brain-dead as they're described now. Some people just make my head hurt. |
