it isn't only how she treats RD, but how she forces the ponies to act / behave unrealistic and makes them breake their own elements. Fluttershy is not the pony who would ever do that to Dash (or anypony) and you know that. This will only ever happen in a Merriwether episode and i'm tired of this bullshit. |

I assume it's less about her getting hurt and more the fact that she's been this season's butt monkey. She's had the most falls and the most turned-into-a-jerk moments than any other character in this season, and people are starting to notice.
In this specific instance it's probably more about the fact that it was FLUTTERSHY of all ponies who caused the damage. |

it just feels forced in all Merriwether episodes. Of course, the ponies have broken their elements in a few other episodes before too (for example Applejack in The last roundup, honesty doesn't mean you have to tell always the truth), but Merriwether overdoes it. She makes the ponies act in a very unnatural way. I mean we are talking about Fluttershy, anyone who has been brony long enough knows that she wouldn't do this to anypony. Merriwether forces RD to act dicky only to get her punished, like when she said to the dragons "pretty lame move" so the dragon fired at her. i can't help but notice how she just wants RD get abused. |

But that aside, Fluttershy has done proven that she has tendencies to lose her cool in certain situations. Just look at the events during the Gala. Besides this was more of a joke then anything. Dash was pressuring her to "face her fears" so to say, and we know how Fluttershy is with facing her fears, and she freaked out. I know I'm normally very good natured and quite, but terrified of heights. My friends thought they would try and get me to go up in a helicopter to face my fears, needless to say I was less then gentle about it. |
