Pretty sure the dragons don't have any sort of set up government, much less "Royal families" or something. I think it pretty much comes down to a "Do I feel like eating you, and am I able to eat you?" type of mentality. |

And after recieving guardianship of the egg, Celestia decided to use it as a magic skill and ability test hoping that one day, someone would come along and break the curse... I remember, it was some fanfic about Twilight growing up, and it turned out Spike was a prince of the dragons. I can't remember the name of it, but I do remember reading it, and it was a really good story. If you guys can find it, please link it. |

You don't really see this form of government anymore, but there is such a thing as a Kratocracy, wherein those in power rose to that position through brute force or ruthless cunning. I think if Dragons have a government, it looks a lot like that. |
