Oh dear you keep fighting about that? Wouldnt just leave this up to interpretation and leave everyone to have their on conclusions? After all its a kids shows they are not gonna develop such as romantic relationships in any of the characters.
The only thing it might happen its only little "hints" and stuff like that and at the end it will be up to the person to take that as shipping support or not. PD: Its not that im an antishipper, I actually support Spike x Rarity but it think we need to get realistic and straight to the point when we talk about the nature and content of the show. As i said yeah there might be some hint or implicit references (another example is appledash) but thats it. |

Methinks some people have oedipus or infant complexes with how they insist a prepubescent character must be shipped with a woman treating him like a child. Rarity _literally_ treats him like a baby brother, going so far as to pinch his 'cute chubby wubby cheeks' and shippers get stars in their eyes. Because that's a solid foundation for a mature relationship, right? Hear the pedo-bear roar.
Then again, people ship things like... Naruto and Tsunade or something. Which is like a 12 year old and his adopted grandmother. Or the people who love incest in basically every or any show even when it's totally out of character. And now I'm reminded of the LittlePip/Luna thing... Shippers gonna Ship I guess. |

And you can see Rarity treat Spike like a baby brother and you would still think there's some love chemistry there. The different between your post and mine? The events in mine actually happened. @1154712 Biggest difference is that Spike and Rarity have a huge age difference between each other and given the nature of each show, Avatar made it blatantly obvious a relationship would happen while MLP makes it obvious that if anything ever did happen, it wouldn't be in the show. I have nothing against shipping (I'd be in the wrong fandom if I was), but for fuck's sake, be realistic. This "canon ship" bullshit needs to stop. Only canon ships are those that are actually made clear (IE: Mr. and Mrs. Cake). Sometimes I feel as though the Rarity/Spike shippers are making up for some similar type of relationship. Not even trying to troll/offend someone, that's how it really seems. You guys get antsy the second someone points out the possibility of the friendzone/little brother zone. |

Schmoopy doopey or whatever the fuck it was was used as a sort of equality thing anyways. Spike wasn't really in any place to say something to Rarity like that, nor did he because he damn well knew it. But well, if you're going to say that, I suppose my older cousin wants to bang me because she talked about how adorable I was when I was younger. I mean, that's Rarispike logic right there. |
