Since furries lack the ability to professionally make their own suit, instead of taking the time and joy in making the suit themselves and the sense of accomplishment that comes with it, they'd rather throw thousands of dollars at a guy to professionally make a suit for them so that they can pose sexually and take photos; where as ponies don't give a shit if their suit looks god awful and that they're just in it for fun?
That's what I picked up at least. |

Many furries do make their own suits though, and a lot of them can be pretty shitty. Just like a few bronies would get someone to professionally make them one because they lack the ability. It's two sides to a coin. |

I figured as much, but only the good fursuit were shown and not the shitty fursuits weren't. Where as the shitty .... Coatsuits were shown, and not the good ones. Pretty much, the picture brings up a poorly thought up argument. Though that's not the cause, they just wanted to rustle our jimmies. |

very few furries dress up in costume for the sexuality of it. yeah there are a few of them that do, but don't view the whole fandom like that. I have seen a lot of pony art that does not come out of the furry community that is of ponies having sex.
Both fandoms have their similarities, but both can be VERY different. A LOT of furries hate the whole pony thing, I think that is cuz they don't get it. Also this is a very new fandom, I am sure in time it will have just as wonderful costumes being made. People have not had time to perfect their art of crafting a costume. Personally I love Cosplaying, and Mascoting. I love getting people to smile. |

For what it's worth...(This is all my opinion and guesswork here)
I'd say a good half of furries have (or aspire to own) a fursuit Pony fursuits accrue less than a fourth of Bronies I think that as people have said before in the comments, Bronies just want to have fun making stuff, and don't really care if it looks bad. Furries are more of a sexual fetish anyway, so it'd be logical for them to pay a lot of money to make it look absolutely perfect. But this is just my opinion; nothing more, and nothing less. |

Fursuits are strictly a furry ideal. As in the idea of wanting to be one.
Bronies may want to be ponies and all, but we know it's a cartoon. It's like saying "I want to be an anime character". Outside of some really good cosplay, the vast majority will not even attempt a fursuit. We are not 4-hooved cartoons. |

The major difference I see is that the brony fandom focuses on one particular series. Even though they're not accepting it, bronies are part of the furry fandom, which covers a broader range of interests.
It's like a dance club, when the other dance enthusiasts like and practce all kinds of dance, there is a group that specialize and have no interest in any dance other than the jitterbug. |
