Vampire lore used to describe them as affable, flamboyant, regal, and powerful. They were also linked with domination, both in shear power and sexuality. Rarity has a lot of those qualities in a minor sense so its not hard to just take her up a few levels.

Anne Rice happened. She started us down this horrifying path. No Rice, no Meyer. Late-game Lestat set a terrible example for all future vampires to follow by getting all wrapped in emogoff music scenes.
We need to fix this with a bonafide Castlevania quadrology. The first movie being gritty and brutal as fuck and is the first two games fused together, so as to make the questing portion longer but without the unsolvable hints and horribad engrish, the second movie is based on 3, which sets up the story to move into Rondo, and finally it ends with Symphony. That'll get us started back in the right direction! |
