Img.poni didn't do anything for me. Lab.poni didn't load thumbnails, which could be beneficial in some cases, I suppose. Everfree.poni gave a bunch of errors and no image newer than 7 months old. I didn't feel like checking the rest.
Ponibooru.org and Ponibooru.413chan.net are the same, just fyi. |

old/different servers.
Ponibooru.org is the main one you should use. ponibooru.413chan.net is the same as ponibooru.org, just a different domain. img.ponibooru.org is the server where images are hosted. whitetail.ponibooru.org is currently the same as ponibooru.org. Before ponibooru.org used whitetail, you could go to the subdomain to test it out. everfree appears to be a old server which isn't used at all anymore. pb2 is broken. pb3 and lab appear to be the same as whitetail, except thumbnails are broken. Most likely for testing. |

If you look down at the bottom there's something like: "Images © their respective owners, Shimmie © Shish & Co 2007-2011, based on the Danbooru concept. [served from whitetail]

There's been an ongoing fight between our ponies, the servers and their software and it's a debacle that stretches back months. Those are all url derivatives that lead to the same place, but for some reason provide different results in terms of loading speed. I don't know anything more technical than that, but I do know that you need to sign into each one separately if you want to use them. |

What EvilHom3r and DeeperMadness said is all correct, depending on the person, one may be better for you then another, for me .org is best for loading time and I rarely get logged out when I don't want it to. |

ponibooru.413chan.net was the original URL of the site.
When it got popular, I got it a second-level domain name (ponibooru.org) so that it'd be unconnected to 413chan (a dead Homestuck imageboard). I'd prefer if people used this one instead of the 413chan one, but I'm probably going to keep the old URL around if only to keep links from breaking. EvilHom3r's comments basically understand the rest of it - img.ponibooru.org is the CDN server, everfree is an old test server that's still using the MySQL backend, whitetail was a temporary name for the new server during an upgrade, and lab is an active test server (don't use lab! it may work but I make no guarantees!). |
