actually, this take on the whole fat lyra, skinny bonbon thing I like, which can go two ways:
1) Lyra and bon bon just have metabolisms like that. Lyra is doing her best to get her weight down, but can't, meanwhile bonbon eats like a woodchipper and doesn't put on a single pound. 2) Bon bon always orders too much but doesn't finish, and lyra feels obligated to finish for her, which in turn leads to bonbon specifically going out of her way to order more than she can eat just because she enjoys the sense of love she gets from watching lyra fulfill that obligation. The second option isn't quite as healthy of a relationship though. It really only works for me if bonbon is in no way deliberately coercing lyra into eating too much. |
