Actually, judging from the fact that if you die in Morphball mode it gives an explosion similar to a dropped power bomb, I reason that Samus' suit converts her body into energy with the two sides of the morphball acting to contain it. No I have no idea why the Chozo would use something this advanced just for Samus to get through meter in diameter gaps. Chozo are just weird. |

Presumably it's the same tech that lets her carry 230 missiles, 50 super missiles, and 50 power bombs. They use it for everything. |
