Hrm.. Let's see out of humoring, I will totally open up all my privacy for a couple seconds. I would have to think about it though... like monthly or annually. Though daily I'd saaay... pure free time where I'm not just clicking to a tabbed browser for a quick comment and going back to typing...eight hours maybe ten? However, I don't think the time spent I'd be doing anything more productive than video games, odd bits of writing, watching various shows, and browsing the internet. Each one of which I assure you I spend more time individually monthly than... I do with my hand down my pants. I don't get boners as often as my comment history would have you believe. My uncle works about 14hours a day and weekends at his store. My mother worked more than 12hours a day. You may argue most jobs are 6 or 8 hours, but if your job is important you always bring work home. Mother - Worked as a housing technician at a bank getting around $7 thousand monthly. She was very passionate, bringing almost everyday papers from the bank. Uncle - Started his own printing store from a loan, today he has a patrimony of over $2 million. He went to work the next day after having a cirurgy. You really doesn't seem a very passionate worker from the way you talked about it. What exactly do you provide? Sexual Liberation != Sex. There is a big difference between considerating something socially acceptable and doing it a lot. @Psycho Don't worry. I am not on a crusade against entertainment. The original point I was trying to make is that sex will become less and less common as people need to produce grows, so it's an injustice to say it's all about sex. And there is nothing wrong with this. I, for example, am also multitasking from work and I enjoy working. I work at a secretary of education, with children. I like my job because I feel I am helping children. I work about 8 hours, not much, but the other day I stood from 8am to 10pm in a meeting about the building of a new school. And I felt good about it. A small rant from me: I think, not just american, but most people are getting too lazy with technology. Technology helps, of course, but it cannot substitute human dedication. I know a lot of people who gets $550 monthly and prefer to stand on a couch, watching TV rather than getting some books and studying. |

I agree with 472's last statement. I don't like working just to feed our glorious coporate overlords. I like working for me, for my friends. I know society is built on cooperation and no man is an island and all that jazz but it often feels like I get no benefit from work other then getting to pay my rent again. I need more than that. |
