I found a whole set of these at Goodwill once for a few bucks. I didn't buy them though because they were very out of date.

Good riddance. We are better off without a printed book that's basically a lower-quality Wikipedia with less depth and more cultural bias.

It's not going away, it's just switching to an all-digital format.

The online Britannica actually has about two million subscribers already. The physical volumes sold only about 8,000 copies this year. It's a logical move.
